Tom Holland has learned a lot since joining the MCU as Spider-Man back in 2016 in Captain America: Civil War – one of those things was Star Wars.
Even though the film is twice his age, the directors said they couldn’t believe he’d never watched it, but they were really excited about it because it was “novel and unexpected”.
“We were stunned. We adore Tom, but I’ll tell you, getting to know Tom, Tom is a young man. He is a very young man,” Joe Russo told FOX 5 DC‘s Kevin McCarthy.
“We’ve since gotten him to invest some of his time watching some older films, hence the Pizza Film School. Holland needed to go to Pizza Film School.”

Anthony admitted he was really excited that their newest Avenger hadn’t seen the film.
