This evening sees our 54th and final Lockdown Legends review we have published since the beginning of April. With lockdown restrictions being eased around the world, comic book stores are reopening and the flow of new comics is increasing by the week, so we have decided it is the right time to say a fond farewell to our Lockdown Legends feature.
As a team we have found this fun and we are so pleased with the positive responses we have had from writers and artists, as well as you, our readers. But more importantly, we hope that the feature gave you something to keep you entertained during lockdown and has encouraged you to add comics you’d never read before to your pull lists at your local comic book store.
As Literature Editor, I would like to thank all of the literature team here at Jedi News for their commitment and dedication to keeping to the tight schedule. So thank you Mark Alders, Kat Rees-Jauke and Matt Springer for all of your help! I think I need to also mention James Burns for his his brilliant banner graphics for the feature and his support for the team during the last few months.
Secondly I’d like to thank our guest reviewers, David Whiteley (BBC Presenter) and Fabio Fiori (Tatooine Times). Your contribution was welcome and appreciated by us all. However, we did have some other guests from within the comic book industry who agreed to participate, but unfortunately their own schedules became too hectic during lockdown and they were unable to complete their reviews before we decided to close this feature.
Please be assured, if they do manage to complete them, we will share them with you in the future. We also have a few reviews written by the team that we are keeping on the back burner for another time, so although we are due to say farewell, it may not be a final farewell.
We are ending Lockdown Legends with a bit of fun. So, please look out for the final review at 17:01 GMT today.
Thank you all and may the Force be with you, always!
