A source has reportedly told LRM Online that Lucasfilm is planning on finding a new actor to portray the live-action version of Maul in future Star Wars projects that will be released on the Disney+ streaming platform. The rumored decision from Lucasfilm comes in response to an unfortunate issue stemming from Park and one of his social media accounts (we’re not going to get into the specifics of the issue here given its nature – just Google it and see for yourself).
Sam Witwer, who provided the voice work for Maul in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels animated series, is a logical choice as a potential replacement for Park given his established familiarity with the character. But would Witwer be up for a live-action version of Maul?
All of this remains to be seen/confirmed in the weeks/months (or longer) ahead.
