On May 24th 2007, Hasbro announced two additional exclusives for that year’s SDCC including a 3.75inch R2-KT action-figure named after the the 501st founder’s daughter Katie Johnson. 20 years on, Albin Johnson, Katie’s Dad, looks back at some of the production photos.
This figure helped to raise a lot of money for Make-A-Wish and was only released once. It sells for over $50 on eBay and is overdue a re-release especially since KT appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Hasbro, if you are reading, please consider this as a future release, in both the 3.75″ and 6″ scales, with profits going to Make-A-Wish.
