About a month ago ReedPOP officially announced the in-person New York Comic Con 2020 event at the Javits Center would be canceled and replaced with an online-only version of the convention in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Operating under the Metaverse name, fans from around the globe will be able to partake in panels delivered virtually (and for free) on the official NYCC YouTube Channel throughout the convention’s scheduled October 8-11, 2020 time frame.
The first batch of NYCC Metaverse panels has been revealed today and we see that a Lucasfilm Publishing panel moderated by Lucasfilm’s Kristen Baver is part of the planned content.
