Chloé Zhao may have expressed her interest in directing a Star Wars movie, but it was just that, and according to THR‘s Heat Vision newsletter, insiders say Zhao is not directing Kevin Feige’s Star Wars movie and isn’t attached to any other Star Wars movie.
Currently, Feige’s mystery project doesn’t have anyone attached to produce, though Michael Waldron (Loki) is working on the script. Little else has been revealed about this movie, which has been in development since 2019. It’s just one of many Star Wars movies in the works right now; most recently, Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron saw its production delayed due to scheduling issues.
