John Williams Gives Surprise Performance at Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny LA Premiere

John Williams gave a surprise performance at the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny US premiere that took place in LA last night, introduced by long time collaborator Steven Spielberg.

Spielberg thanked George Lucas for creating the character, Harrison Ford for becoming Indy, and John Williams for being “the glue” that has held the franchise together.

“(This is) the person who is the glue to all five of these films – that gave us all of our rhythm and all of our melody – the great maestro John Williams,” he said.

A curtain then rose to reveal the 91-year old veteran composer John Williams who played several pieces from the film’s score, accompanied by a full orchestra.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny arrives in theatres in the UK and Ireland on June 28th, 2023, and two days later in the rest of the world.
