Following the annual elections, and after many years of leading the 501st UK Garrison, Gary Hailes has been replaced by Michael Cullen as the clubs Commanding Officer. We send Michael our congratulations and hope we can continue to work closely with each other.
This is what Michael has said following his election: –
I am incredibly honored and humbled to wake up this morning and learn that I have been elected as your new Garrison Commanding Officer.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who believed in me and entrusted me with this important role. Your support means the world to me, and I am committed to serving you and our Garrison to the best of my abilities.
I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Gary and his team for their years of dedicated service to the Garrison and the Legion. Their hard work has laid a strong foundation, and I am eager to build upon it in the coming months.
To those who supported Gary, I hope to earn your trust and confidence as we embark on this new chapter together. My goal is to continue making the UK Garrison a beacon of excellence within the Legion.
I am excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work alongside all of you. Together, we will uphold our values and make a positive impact in our community.

We have worked closely with Gary and the 501st UK Garrison for many years, cooperating with them on numerous events, including working together on Celebration, and co-hosting the official bash at Celebration 2016 and 2023. We send our heartfelt thanks to Gary and the team for everything we’ve achieved together, including raising thousands of pounds for charity, and we hope we can continue our relationship for many more years to come.
