The Saga Museum of Star Wars Memorabilia is Heading to Emerald City Comic Con

The Saga Museum of Star Wars Memorabilia is heading to Emerald City Comic Con this weekend with guests Gus Lopez, Anne Neumann, Steve Sansweet, Lisa Stevens and Vic Wertz hosting a panel about the creation on the new museum, on Saturday, March 8th at 3:15pm in Room 347 on Level 3.

Star Wars is an unprecedented pop culture phenomenon. It’s more than a movie series or an entertainment franchise. It has sparked imaginations worldwide for nearly 50 years & has ignited careers from astronauts to educators, and everything in between. Its influence, ingenuity, and innovation is unmatched by any other movie franchise or pop culture series to this day.

Recently, five collectors – Steve Sansweet, Gus Lopez, Duncan Jenkins, Lisa Stevens, and Vic Wertz – owning four of the world’s foremost Star Wars memorabilia collections, announced their plans to open a public, world-class museum to exhibit and archive these collections. This one-of-a-kind museum, called The Saga Museum of Star Wars Memorabilia, will inspire through the force of imagination stemming from a shared love of one of cinema’s most influential franchises. These collectors along with Saga Leadership Team members Anne Neumann, Rich Smolen, and Michael Wistock are working on extensive plans to bring The Saga Museum of Star Wars Memorabilia to life through its mission to provide meaningful educational, aesthetic, intellectual, and cultural experiences by sharing our extensive collections with a diverse audience.

This panel will cover the history and background on these extraordinary collections. We will share details about vision, scope, and location considerations for this museum, along with the effort and progress required to create something of this magnitude. We will provide a glimpse of some of the incredible items and stories that the Saga Museum will be unveiling to the public and will cover ways in which we’ll be interacting with the public in exhibitions prior to museum launch. We’ll also share how you can engage with us on our journey to build The Saga Museum of Star Wars Memorabilia, a museum built by fans and for fans!
