The terrible news reached us this morning that Richard LeParmentier, better known to Star Wars fans as Admiral Conan Antonio Motti, passed away suddenly yesterday.
Richard had many, many friends in the Star Wars and the wider film community, starting a career with the 1974 film Stardust that also saw Rollerball, A New Hope, Superman II where he met his former wife Sarah Douglas, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and on to a successful writing career and his production company Three Rivers Productions.
Born in Pittsburgh but making his home in Bath, Somerset Richard will be sorely missed by friends, fans and most importantly family. Our thoughts go out to Ty, Stephanie and Rhiannon at this difficult time.
