UK cases are appearing in supermarket shelf ready dump bins. The UK have had these for the last 5+ years with many toy lines including Star Wars as the traditional peg walls have disappeared and stand up bubbles have becomes more commonplace and the peg hook is shunned by the big box retailers where a larger chunk of product is now being sold all over the world.
As the box size only holds 7 of the current Saga Legends the #2 figure (Episode II Phase One Clone Trooper) is missing from this case pack and its currently unknown if the UK/EU will receive this figure.
Two of the major toy wholesale suppliers were offering and preordering traditional cases of 12 but upon the figures arriving in the UK they amended their offerings in the last week due to the new case size.
Similar card stock maybe slightly thinner. Nice big bubble that does all it’s meant to do – protect the figure. Very light on text on the card fronts keeping it nice and simple.
Card footprint is a lot smaller than the traditional classic size and still a good deal smaller than the recent 2011/2 card size that was for Saga Legends/Movie Heroes and The Clone Wars line ups.
One way too look at this that collectors won’t run out of storage space as fast, plus less packaging is better for the environment. No Sellotape, no twisty ties, or little rubber bands present either…which is nice to see.
The squared-off bubble means you can easily stack them when buying up piles of figures in the store. Which is a happy return to for as packaging like the ROTS and TLC lines were impossible to stack.

All figures look, well sculpted and most have good/great paint apps. The main problem found is the eyes and the gold cables on the droid are a little shoddy. Mace Windu suffers the worst with all the figures in this batch having a boss eye on poor Mace. But for only £6 these are great toys for kids that are much more affordable with pocket money. As these are a kids-aimed line not destined to keep rabid collectors happy which is where The Black Series is coming in.
