A new IMAX investor’s presentation confirms that in addition to premium large format release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, Star Wars: A New Hope – 50th Anniversary and Star Wars: Starfighter will also get IMAX releases in 2027.
The Mandalorian and Grogu arrives on May 22nd, 2026 and is likely to have IMAX support through to the release of Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day on June 12th. Star Wars: A New Hope will be released on February 19th to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the franchise, and Star Wars: Starfighter arrives some three months later on May 28th, 2027.
