Check out this preliminary sketch by artist Dan Veesenmeyer, used in this years LEGO advent calendar.
Panel I illustrated to promote Lego’s 2013 STAR WARS Advent Calendar set. Printed in the U.K. edition of the November/December Lego Club Magazine.
Shown here is the final art, my early layout idea and actual product. My only direction was to showcase all the items of the building set in a Holiday themed Mall that looked like it belonged on the planet of Coruscant!
This was also the first time I was assigned to draw Star Wars branded Lego mini figures.
Digitally illustrated and inked in Manga Studio then colored in Photoshop.
