Jedi News reader and contributor Marc Zachacki sent in a handful of questions for the team, asking some familiar questions but from a certain point of view. Next up, no one knew where he was and then we found him, It’s Dan Curto .
Q: What were your thoughts when Darth Vader told Luke he was his father?
A: Shocked. Did NOT see that coming.
Q: How did you feel with two years before Luke talked to Yoda and Ben about this in Jedi?
A: It always bothered me that Ben lied to Luke. (although I guess George hadn’t yet come up with the backstory then?)
Q: In Empire, Yoda says, “no, there is another”. Who did you think this other was?
A: made up a character called “Logan Darklighter”…he was the other, and he flew around in space with his trusty co-pilot Snaggletooth and astromech R5-D4 in the Eagle from Space 1999. 🙂
Q: In Empire, when Luke lands on Dagobah and he encounters Yoda without knowing it, did you know that was Yoda, or did you find out when Luke found out?
A: Yes, he was on the cardback….or maybe I read it in Starlog. Either way, I knew who he was.
Q: What were your thoughts on Luke and Leia being twins. And looking back did that change them for you?
A: It HAD to be Leia….there are no other girls in the movie! 🙂
Q: The name Ewok was not said in Jedi. When was the first time you heard the name ‘Ewok’?
A: Hmmm…dunno, maybe the figures again. “Ewok Medicine Man”.
