Our friends over at Jedi Temple Archives have some news to reveal pertaining to the upcoming new 3.75″ line of The Black Series figures. Over to JTA…
Although we can’t give you any action figure names (yet….), here is the scoop we can reveal. (By the way, if you want some names, just look at our past rumor reports. It’s likely most of those rumors will make up the ones we’re now confirming.) Anyway, here you go. Wave 1 of the new updated The Black Series line look will contain 18 basic figures. ALL will be new sculpts. Every last figure of this wave of 18 is NOT a carry-forwarded, repacked, or reissued figure. Not one of them. (While we need plenty of older figures reissued, collectors can rest assured that they won’t be part of this first basic figure wave.)
Now here is the BIG news. Many of these 18 figures will available as single orders of 12 of the same figure per case (as is the current case with Entertainment Earth wholesale for The Black Series wave 5: Darth Vader, Ree-Yees, Jabba’s Skiff Guard, and Wedge Antilles). We have been told (and can also confirm) that Star Wars collectors will ALL be drop-dead excited when the characters are revealed. If we can get permission to reveal more, we will, but we are under a gag order already. Hopefully we can leak more before SDCC. Be sure to keep it here at JTA!
