The latest patch lands over at R2-KT.com, and it’s one very familiar to UK readers – the flag of friendship.

The nice folks at Worldwide Star Wars Fan Groups asked us if we’d be okay with them modifying their Flag of Friendship logo patch to add R2-KT for a limited run available only at Star Wars Celebration. Well, we’re happy to say that after they sold most of them for their charity fund-raiser they offered the rest to us for our fund-raising efforts!Unfortunately, we only have fifteen of these patches to offer for purchase. And there are many more KT Subscribers than patches. 🙁
So we will make these available by Reverse Auction – bids go down, instead of up.
In a reverse auction a high price is set in round one (where only super serious collectors would want them). Interested buyers send payment via PayPal to r2kt@r2kt.com to lock in their patch (only one per Subscriber please).If any patches are left by day 2, the price goes down. Bidders make payments to lock in one patch. This continues each day until all fifteen patches are spoken for. I will email the KT Subscriber list each day at 10 am EST with an update on remaining stock and the new lower price. Winners are taken in order of received payments.
For this fund-raiser we are allotting all funds to be used for Make-A-Wish, one of our favorite charities. Today is the first round and the price for one patch starts at $30. I don’t expect most people would want it for this much, but if there’s someone super interested then it raises a little more money for Make-A-Wish.
