So far we’ve received boatloads of awesome news/photos from Celebration Orlando 2017, but this article comes in as a big downer. During his “Smooth Talkin’ With Billy Dee Williams” panel at Celebration, Billy Dee Williams said (via Slashfilm) that his character Lando Calrissian will not be making an appearance in The Last Jedi.

Hopefully Williams is just trying to keep the cat in the bag for as long as possible. But until we hear otherwise, we’re to assume Lando will be absent from Episode VIII.
