Sounds Like Spencer Wilding Has Been Cast In Han Solo Film

As pointed out by Star Wars News Net, actor Spencer Wilding had to cancel his upcoming appearance at the Fandom Fest convention, which is scheduled to take place July 28-30 in Kentucky. If you recall, Wilding donned the iconic black suit of the Dark Lord of the Sith in director Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One.

The reason provided on the Fandom Fest website for Wilding’s cancellation is copied below:

Spencer Wilding will be unable to attend as he will be filming the newest film in the Star Wars Universe. Spencer will be coming back next year.

Given Ron Howard’s young Han Solo standalone film is the only Star Wars movie that is currently being filmed, one could easily jump to the conclusion that Wilding will be reprising his role as Darth Vader in the movie. However, Wilding has portrayed various other characters across several properties, so he could just as easily be cast to play a completely different character in the film.

We’ll keep an eye on this story as more develops.
