With Avengers: Infinity War on the horizon, it’s likely that Sebastian Stan’s time as the Winter Soldier is coming to an end. Stan already has another beloved Disney-owned franchise in his sights though. This time, he has a more heroic role in mind.
The news comes from Stan’s recent appearance at Rhode Island Comic Con, when a fan asked if he’d ever want to play a young Luke Skywalker. Setting aside the fact that nobody wouldn’t want to be Luke Skywalker, there’s a reason behind the question.
Fans have long been obsessing over the fact that the actor looks exactly like young Mark Hamill. If Disney was ever going to make another movie about Luke’s younger days, Stan would be the perfect person to play the role.
“I just want to say here that anytime anyone would like to call me and ask me about Luke Skywalker, I’d be very happy,” Stan said.
Mark Hamill himself has even signed off on the idea, posting side-by-side photos that make the resemblance even clearer.
