In 1885 Yong Koon a Chinese immigrant to Malaysia with nothing to his name but a set of tools and a determination to succeed opened a little shop, today Koon’s shop has grown into the company known as Royal Selangor, a world-renowned pewter manufacturer.
This past month I had the opportunity to visit the Royal Selangor shop on the Kings Road, London to view the collection in full and today bring you the first of a series of galleries covering their full Star Wars Collection.

As part of their continuing exclusive Star Wars Collection, from the movie Rogue One comes the character, Baze Malbus – brought to life in stunning detail, and with a distinct class and style that Royal Selangor has become renowned for.

Baze’s gung-ho approach to combat is freeze-framed in a meticulously sculpted figurine in mid-run, ready to fire at a moment’s notice.
Heroic rebels and the Empire’s mighty warriors make the leap from silver screen to Lucasfilm approved collectibles in Royal Selangor’s Star Wars collection. An on-going collaboration with The Walt Disney Southeast Asia, the focus this time around, falls on the iconic characters from ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, the first Star Wars standalone film.
The Limited Edition figurines of Chirrut Îmwe, the blind warrior monk and Baze Malbus, his hard-bitten soldier friend headline the additional collectibles. Portrayed in a fighting stance, Chirrut’s tense expression and true-to-movie costume details is perfectly captured. Baze’s gung-ho approach to combat is freeze-framed in a meticulously sculpted figurine in mid-run, ready to fire at a moment’s notice.
