Buried Star Wars and Action Man toys mystery continues with hoard of vintage collectables still unearthed

There are rumoured to be valued Star Wars figures and other toys buried in a landfill since 1994

New houses in a Leicestershire town are being built on new roads named after Palitoy favourites Action Man and Pippa dolls.

With extensive earthworks for the development, it had been hoped clues might be unearthed to the location of a mythical long lost hoard of vintage toys rumoured to be hidden somewhere in north west Leicestershire.

But intrigue still surrounds the question of where the now defunct factory buried thousands of unwanted toys that would now be worth huge amounts of money.

The new homes are being built as part of what is known as the Jackson Street development by developers Countryside and Midland Heart in Coalville.

We all lost figures and weapons in the garden in our childhood for them to be dug up again many years later, so there is always hope! You never know what the excavations could unearth.
