LONDON (September 3, 2015) – Stormtroopers and R2-D2 joined a young Star Wars fan dressed as Princess Leia – Daisy, aged 8 – at the Disney Store on Oxford Street to begin the final countdown to midnight tonight, when the much anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens product line launches on ‘Force Friday’ 4th September.
The costumed characters from the 501st UK Garrison appeared at the Disney Store’s Star Wars-themed opening key ceremony, which also saw the front of the Oxford Street store ‘unboxed’ for trading – to mimic the global live toy unboxing event taking place on the Star Wars YouTube channel.
I can feel the excitement building to this event, and our first live action Star Wars film in over 10 years – just over 100 days away!
