Big news earlier this evening from Dark Side Toys about them bringing Jabba’s Sail Barge to Europe and the UK….
For years, Star Wars fans have yearned for the creation of Jabba’s Sail Barge to add to their collections but couldn’t due to no availability in the uk or Europe, Dark Side Toys Decided thats not fair and took it on ourself to bring it to uk & Europe.
With your support, the time has come to back this project. With intricate detailing, premium materials, superior functionality and grandiose size, it is poised to be one of the most sought after, must-have items in the Star Wars collection. who wouldn’t want one of these in your collection, Modern or vintage collector.
This was then followed up by this post on Instagram by Steve Evans at Hasbro….

Whilst not cheap, most of the options work out at £599.99, it does seem a viable way for those living in some countries outside of the US and Canada to be able to support and buy the Barge, and we applaud Dark Side Toys for doing this. You can find all the details, pricing and FAQ’s here.
Since this went live a couple of few ago the number of purchases over at HASLAB have only gone up by 20 (it was at 2,666 at around 5pm GMT earlier today), so it will be interesting to see if Dark Side Toys will be buying these individually or in batches — we’ll be watching closely.
We have reached out to Hasbro for a statement and will let you know what we hear. In the meantime, take the link below to Dark Side Toys if you live in Europe and the UK and want to ‘Back the Barge’ using this method — happy hunting!
UPDATED 17th March at 5am GMT: This is not a Hasbro initiative and the folks at Dark Side Toys are doing this off their own back. Steve Evans has removed his post from Instagram (as you can see from the white space above). With anything non-official we would always advise caution. Having looked into this further myself this is not something I would back in this way, and I still feel that Hasbro should be presenting an official way of getting this in Europe, the UK and other territories as discussed here.
I WANT the Barge to succeed, and hope I’ll be proven wrong, but it needs proper backing by Hasbro in all their major territories ASAP in order to reach the goal of 5,000 units.
