An updated “Protection and Defense” hilt theme awaits new builders at Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Savi’s Workshop, with all new lightsabers featuring new thermal cutting effects, deflection effects, upgraded audio and a smoother blade activation.
Preserved in the Jedi archives and safeguarded for generations, an updated hilt theme awaits new builders eager to forge their very own lightsaber.
In the latest series of the “Protection and Defense” hilt theme, guests can choose to build their own custom lightsaber, featuring striking white finishes and rich gold detailing.
Adorned with mysterious ancient Jedi iconography, each lightsaber celebrates the optimism and grandeur of the High Republic while honoring those who dedicated themselves to protecting others. Carrying the legacy of the High Republic into a new era, this theme reflects a time when the Order stood as a symbol of peace and hope across the galaxy.
Inside the workshop, you’ll also be able to experience even more excitement. Each lightsaber chassis and blade, no matter the hilt theme, has been enhanced with brand-new features like a thermal cutting effect, a spinning effect, and deflection effects. Plus, upgraded audio quality and smoother blade activation now creates an even more immersive experience.
When paired with special, “cracked” Kyber crystals, a color-change effect can additionally be unlocked with a quick flick of the wrist, showcasing the inner battle between the light side and the dark side of the Force.
Ready to transform these scattered and reclaimed parts into elegant tools that symbolize the balance of the Force? Purchase is required and advanced reservations are highly encouraged for this experience at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Happy hunting!
