In an exclusive interview held during last week’s virtual LEGO Fan Media Days, Jedi News spoke to with LEGO Star Wars Design Director Jens Kronvold Frederiksen and Design Manager Michael Lee Stockwell about February’s Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) Fan Vote.
We discussed the winning LAAT/i Republic Gunship which they told us was ‘knee deep in development’, and the two vehicles that lost the vote, the EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate and TIE/sa Bomber. We asked if by losing the vote that precluded these two vehicles from becoming UCS sets in the future, and this is what they had to say.
Jens: They are still something we would consider in the future.
Michael: Everything is still in play, no reason why not.
So for those that voted for either the EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate or TIE/sa Bomber there may still be a chance of these becoming a future UCS set — fingers crossed!
