World famous toy store Hamleys have unveiled their top 10 toys for this Christmas. The list shows that toy-telligence is taking the world by storm, and robots are becoming firm favourites across all age groups. Despite this, LEGO does feature once on the top 10 list, albeit in the form of a build-your-own-droid, BB-8!
BB-8 was the droid that captured people’s hearts in 2015 with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and he will appear on screen again this holiday season in the much anticipated sequel – Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Victoria Kay, Head Buyer at Hamleys said of the gadget-heavy list: “We’ve seen a lot of tech for tech’s sake in the past few years with app extensions, but now, whether it’s a plush or a more sophisticated LEGO build, they are getting smarter in how kids can personalise and programme them.”
