Hasbro’s latest Star Wars HasLab The Black Series Rancor campaign is close to crossing the halfway mark (4,500 of 9,000) for the required number of backers since it officially went live on October 22 during Hasbro Pulse Con 2021.
It was revealed earlier today during Hasbro’s Fan First Friday livestream presentation that the item fans will get for the Tier 1 stretch goal (11,000 backers) will be a The Black Series Gamorrean Guard figure packaged on a Kenner Power of the Force cardback complete with collectors coin.
A 6-inch-scale The Black Series Gamorrean Guard™ figure on a classic Kenner-inspired Power of the Force™ cardback with a special collectors coin to continue the tradition of celebrating the Kenner brand. This exclusive execution can only be found here, in this HasLab issue. Fans can recreate the iconic scene in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™, when the Gamorrean Guard unwittingly becomes the Rancor’s “lunch”.
The deadline to become a backer for this project ($349.99 with a limit of 5 per customer) is 11:59pm ET on December 6, 2021. There are currently 4 tier unlocks tied to the project: Tier 1 (11,000 backers needed), Tier 2 (13,500 backers needed), and Tiers 3 and 4 are TBD as of this posting. If successful, the Rancor will begin shipping to backers in spring of 2023.
