LEGO 2014 Rumour List: Summer Sets

The Hungarian Site – Ilse LEGO Markabolt Online Webshop – is listing the second half LEGO Star Wars Sets for 2014 (available in August).  Whilst some have piece counts they do include prices in Hungarian too; based on fact that the new Microfighters are £8.99 we’ve roughly translated the other prices too as well as adding a little bit of our own commentary…

  • Phantom – #75048 – Ages 7-12 – Pieces: Unknown – Price £24.99 – guessing that this is from the new animated TV show Rebels which will air later this year on Disney XD, especially based on the reduced age range.  Perhaps this is a ship related to the Inquisitor – time will tell.
  • Snowspeeder – #75049 – Ages 9-14 – Pieces: 278 – Price £37.99 – since we’re getting a new AT-AT we need a companion piece!  This will be the third time that LEGO have released a standalone Minifigure scale Snowspeeder with previous releases in 1999 and 2004.  In 2010 we got a Snowspeeder as part of the Hoth Wampa Cave and again in 2013 as part of the Battle of Hoth.  This new release will take the total to six (equalling that of the TIE Fighter as the most made Minifigure scale LEGO Star Wars vehicle – so far!)  Other versions of the Snowspeeder include a UCS version in 2003 and MINI versions in 2003, 2008 and 2013 (as part of the Planet series).
  • B-Wing – #75050 – Ages 8-14 – Pieces: 448 – Price £54.99 – this will be the third Minifigure scale release of the ship following releases in 2000 and 2006.  In 2012 this was also released as a UCS set and last year we got this in MINI form (as part of the Planet series).
  • AT-AT – #75054 – Ages 9-14 – Pieces: 1138 – Price £109.99 – this will be the fourth time that LEGO have brought us a Minifigure scale AT-AT; the first was in 2003, a motorized version came along in 2007 followed by the last version in 2010 – it seems that we’re getting a new one roughly every four years!  We’ve also had two MINI AT-AT’s in 2003 and 2010.
  • Imperial Star Destroyer – #75055 – Ages 9-14 – Pieces: Unknown – Price £129.99 – did I just say every four years?  In 2002 we got a UCS version of the Imperial Star Destroyer, in 2006 we got our first Minifigure scale version and four years after that (2010) a MIDI scale version.  Four years on we’re getting our second Minifigure scale version of this iconic vehicle.
  • Jedi Hunter Frontier – #75051 – Ages 8-14 – Pieces: 490 – Price £59.99.  Could this be from Rebels or maybe even The Yoda Chronicles?
  • Mos Eisley Cantina – #75052 – Ages 8-14 – Pieces: 615 – Price £74.99 – this is only the second time that LEGO have done the Cantina and based on the price and piece count not as big as we’d hoped but probably where we’ll find the new Dewback seen in the recent Advent Calendar video (a version of which also came as part of the first Cantina set in 2004).
  • The Ghost – #75053 – Ages 9-14 – Pieces: Unknown – Price £89.99 – we already know this to be the ship used by the Rebels in the new animated TV series of the same name coming later this year.

We’ll know more after the UK Toy Fair later this month, followed by the US Toy Fair in February so hang tight for confirmation of these sets and their prices.
