I write about this very sad state of affairs regarding Steve Sansweet and Rancho Obi-Wan over at The Metro.
Stephen J Sansweet, the owner of the world’s most extensive Star Wars collection, has fallen prey to a series of thefts thought to be orchestrated by a friend of 20 years.
Over a hundred items were stole from his collection, which has a combined estimated value of $200,000.
The alleged culprit has been identified as 45-year-old Carl Edward Cunningham of Marietta, Georgia.
He was arrested in March in Sonoma County, California, and charged with felony grand theft.
Cunningham is currently released on $25,000 bail, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 27.
