The new LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 construction set (#75308) is available now and designer Kurt Kristiansen discusses the new build and how it differs from the original set released in 2012.
The new set comes nine years after the UCS R2-D2 was released (#10225), and those of you paying attention will notice this new version is not a UCS set, but fits in with the other similar sets released over the last few years such as BB-8 (#75187), the Porg (#75230), Yoda (#75255) and The Child (#75318). This is the only set to contain the printed 50th anniversary Lucasfilm brick.
