Last week, as part of the first virtual Funko Fair, Funko officially announced new Pop! Key Chains from The Mandalorian and the original trilogy, and they have sent us some of these new products to review.
The new Pop! Keychains feature two waves of characters, one set from The Mandalorian (three different versions of The Child, two versions of The Mandalorian, IG-11 and Moff Gideon) and the other from the original trilogy (Boba Fett, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, R2-D2, Stormtrooper and Yoda).

Each Pop! Keychain comes individually packaged in a window display box featuring the Star Wars and Pop! logos, with the character’s name on the front of the box. Those from The Mandalorian feature a bronze flash with the show’s logo, whilst those from the original trilogy are in a plain black and white box omitting the film they are from. The three different versions of Grogu are packaged in a box twice the width of the other characters, sized to take into account The Child’s ears.

Each of the vinyl keychains stands approximately 1.5 inches high and the detail of each is up to the usual high standard we have come to expect from Funko. The designs reflect their larger Pop! counterparts and they are a fun interpretation of favourite Star Wars characters. Unlike some of the larger versions, these are completely static with a chain in the centre of their heads for attachment.
Each of the keychains has a detachable ring, allowing you to place the Pop! directly onto your existing keys without the need of an extra ring, thereby reducing bulk. The Pop! could also be placed on a bag, a zip or any other item with a suitable loop.
These are a fun new collectible that will look great on your keys, as a bag tag or even as a zip pull. The variety of characters is sure to appeal to collectors of all generations, and I am sure these will prove to be very popular when they are released next month. You can pre-order these new Funko Pop! Keychains in the US from Entertainment Earth for $5.99 each and in Europe from Pop in a Box for £4.99 each.
Thank you to Funko for sending us these products ahead of their release.
