Before your very eyes, some of your favorite comics creators — Jeffrey Brown (Star Wars Jedi Academy), Michael Fry (The Odd Squad), Matthew Holm (Babymouse), Kazu Kibuishi (Amulet), Dave Roman (Astronaut Academy), and Raina Telgemeier (Drama) will compete in an action-packed, high-stakes, no-holds-barred drawing championship for your approval! Who will win? It’s up to you to pick the best comics! Moderated by Jennifer L. Holm (Babymouse).
501st Costuming 101: Dressing to Serve the Empire – 11:00am Room 29A
Join presenters Sam Hornedo, David Biffath, Kevin Weir, Felix Weliver, and Eddie Dennis to learn the essentials about what it takes to create a costume that meets the standards of quality for entry into the 501st Legion. They will provide an overview of what is involved in creating a costume, the various costume categories, and how much time is needed to create a costume that is screen accurate. Panelists will demonstrate tips and techniques for their costume specialty.
Spotlight on Charlotte Fullerton – 12:30pm Room 8
Join Ben 10 himself, Yuri Lowenthal as he interviews Comic-Con special guest Charlotte Fullerton, the co-head writer of Ben 10: Omniverse, about her extensive career in children’s TV, writing for a wide variety of shows such as My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Green Lantern: The Animated Series, as well as her involvement in making the now-legendary Star Wars comedy fanfilm Troops. On a personal note, Charlotte is the widow of renowned writer/producer Dwayne McDuffie, co-founder of Milestone Comics. Q&A session.

Have you or someone you love been a target of bullying? Join this life-changing discussion on how to overcome bullying, and learn strategies to create witnesses and allies out of bystanders. NOH8 makes it’s first-ever Comic-Con appearance, with founders Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley along with Jane Espenson (Once Upon a Time), Brad Bell (Husbands), Chase Masterson (Doctor Who: Big Finish), Bonnie Burton (Girls Against Girls: Why We are Mean to Each Other and How We Can Change), Jenna Busch (entertainment editor, Fan TV), and Ashley Eckstein (Star Wars: The Clone Wars). Special topics include geek bullying, LGBT bullying, cyberbullying, and analyzing how media and entertainment affect attitudes toward bullying and aggression.
