Star Wars x Pandora Charms Release Details Revealed

After being teased back in early August, Pandora have officially revealed the line-up for their new Star Wars x Pandora collection today. With a new bracelet and over ten charms, the Force is definitely strong with this one.

Iconic characters abound for the charms and Darth Vader’s helmet (£55/$65/€59) is possibly the most striking of them all. Moulded in silver with black-enamelling, the Sith Lord’s mask manages to capture the many triangular angles well and will turn any charm-bracelet to the Dark Side.

For something a little friendlier, then the Chewbacca charm (£45/$55/€49) will be a perfect sidekick for a bracelet, with the silver detailing of his fur perfectly recreating this walking carpet. Plus, the brown enamel detailing on his bandolier adds a lovely splash of warm colour.

Never underestimate a droid and Pandora certainly haven’t, offering four charms inspired by these loyal companions. BB-8 (£60/$75/€69) translates to the round design of a charm so well, and the detailing included, from his access ports to his sensors, is all recreated in bright orange enamel.

Even C-3PO (£70/$90/€79) would be impressed by the 18 carat Pandora Shine plated-gold that gives the perfectionist protocol droid a sparkling sheen. Making the limbs pose-able too is a clever touch.

Of course, there’s no C-3PO without R2-D2 (£60/$75/€69) and the cheeky astromech is also pose-able, with blue and red enamel details for his many access hatches and glowing lights. An extra touch is that Artoo’s hanging ring is studded in starry blue cubic zirconia.

Then the dream-duo of R2-D2 and C-3PO (£35/$45/€39) are put together in a fantastic round charm inspired by their famous scene from Star Wars: A New Hope as the two characters look across over the Dune Sea. Around the edge of this round charm are the famous words “In a galaxy far, far away…” whist decorated on the back is the iconic Star Wars logo.

The Star Wars logo earns itself two charms, both using the same design but available in silver (£45/$55/€49) of limited-edition 18 carat gold-plate (£60/$75/€69). Both also feature striking black enamel lettering and a galaxy pattern of stars embellished around the edge.

After Baby Yoda broke the internet it’s no surprise that The Child (£45/$55/€49) has become a Pandora charm. It manages to squeeze every bit of adorability into the metalwork, with the charm posed as Baby Yoda does the “magic hand thing”.

Another unsurprising inclusion is Leia (£55/$65/€59). Pandora is synonymous with expressing strong female characters in their charms and Leia’s is split in two. One circle depicts an enamel galaxy showing Alderaan alongside the Death Star, while the other is a poignant portrait of Leia herself. Inscribed onto the back is an inspirational message – “Don’t mess with this Princess.”

The final charm is Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader’s lightsabers (£55/$65/€59) crossed in battle. It’s an immediately recognisable image and the use of coloured cubic zirconia in the lightsaber blades is a clever touch. On the reverse is a saying that Star Wars fans know extremely well “May the Force be with you.”

To display all of these new charms the Star Wars x Pandora collection is introducing a new snake-chain bracelet (£70/$90/€79). The clasp is branded with the Star Wars logo and has room for all of these charms – and more. Hopefully if this new range is a success then there will be plenty more charms in future.

The Star Wars x Pandora collection is officially released tomorrow, October 1st 2020, but Pandora Club Members get early access and will be able to purchase the collection from 6pm September 30th 2020. All items will be available to buy in stores and online at uk.pandora.net and us.pandora.net.

Happy hunting and may the jewellery Force be with you!

It was LEGO that got Kat into Star Wars in 2015. After spontaneously buying the LEGO 10188 Death Star set, she finally decided to watch the Original Trilogy and from then on was completely absorbed into a galaxy far, far away. On a very early December morning, Kat got to see her first Star Wars film in the cinema and The Force Awakens still holds a special place in her heart. With this new era of content also came her favourite character – Kylo Ren.
