Toy Fair UK 2022: Jazwares to Launch New Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron

Toy Fair UK is the first toy trade show since the New York Toy Fair in February 2020, and since this year’s shows in Germany and New York have been cancelled there are exhibitors at the show who would not normally attend. We were excited to visit and even though Hasbro, LEGO and Mattel choose not to exhibit, big players such as Funko and Jazwares did.

Jazwares celebrate their 25th anniversary with the launch of the first authentically scaled vehicle line in Star Wars history, Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron. This new line is broken down into various vehicle sizes: –

  • Assualt Class — Millennium Falcon and similar sized vehicles
  • Starship Class — larger vehicles including Boba Fett’s Starfighter (Firespray) and the Razor Crest
  • Transport Class — including the Troop Transport
  • Starfighter Class — X-wing, Jedi Starfighter, TIE Bomber etc
  • Light Armor Class — TIE Fighter, AT-ST and other similar modes of transport
  • Scout Class — Speeder Bikes and other single person small transport vehicles

We do not know if this new line is plastic or metal, how much its will cost, or when it will be available, but will share more as soon as we can. We expect the line to launch later this year.

Also on display were the ever popular Squishmallows in different sizes.

We were not able to get onto the booth, due to not having booked an appointment, but were able to take photos through the numerous windows in the booth and from above.

Have a look through our gallery of images to see what was on display: –

Lots more to share from Toy Fair UK over the next few days.
