Last week, Team Jedi News announced that we are helping launch the ‘Amor LEGO Exhibition & Live Build’ which is being held at Himley Hall, Dudley, UK on the 21st (TOMORROW!) and 22nd July 2018. Entry is free, and the live build will be on all weekend.
Amor will be accompanied by Steve, Jason and Mark from Jedi News, who will also be joined by friends from the West Midlands Garrison to launch the start of event between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 21st July 2018. Amor will be starting the weekend by building the latest LEGO UCS Y-Wing, which has been very kindly supplied by LEGO.
We can now reveal the design chosen for the exclusive badge we have commissioned to commemorate the event.
These badges are a limited run of 50, and will be available for a £1 donation to the Mayor’s Charity. These will be available on a first come, first served basis.
You can make a donation to The Mayor of Dudley’s charities to be entered into a prize draw. The confirmed prizes so far are;
Prosecco Tea for Two – Donated by Himley Hall
DK Star Wars: Year by Year book – Donated by The Works, Wolverhampton
£15 voucher – Donated by The Entertainer, Wolverhampton
Millennium Falcon T-Shirt – Donated by Team Jedi News
Do you have your own Star Wars costume? Amor, Team Jedi News and the West Midlands Garrison would like to see as many of you visiting to come along dressed as your favourite Star Wars character!
Also, if you’re coming along, let us know. You can respond to our Facebook Event, but more importantly, please spread the word. Tell your friends and family and come along to the event yourselves to join in the fun, meet the Star Wars characters, have your photos taken with them and have a chat with Amor, Steve, Jason and Mark.
If you can’t make the Live Build, please take time to visit the exhibition when you are in the area. It is open daily throughout the summer, until late September. Please check the Himley Hall website for opening times and what else this venue has to offer.
