At last weekend’s Comic Con Liverpool, John Boyega and Joonas Suotamo both spoke about a potential return to Star Wars but made it clear it would only be in a movie, and it obviously need a great script.
But there’s one non-negotiable: Finn and Poe’s story deserves a theatrical home.
“Me and Oscar are very stubborn and we believe the bromance should only be on the big screen.”
So don’t expect Finn popping up on Disney+ anytime soon. Boyega emphasized that any reunion would need a movie-level scope and a strong script. And if the project ever moves forward, he already knows who else he wants beside them.
“It has to be a movie and obviously a great script. And I already spoke to Joonas today and said Joonas, you must join Poe and Finn on their adventure. So if I get those combinations, who knows.”
