John Goodson, model maker and digital artist for Industrial Light & Magic, will be attending the third annual Rebel Scum Con at the Frisco Convention Center in Texas between August 7th and 9th, 2026, making his first ever convention appearance.
We are excited to announce that John Goodson will be appearing at
Star Wars fans know John for his work as a model maker and digital artist for Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), where he helped craft some of the most iconic physical models and miniatures in the galaxy. His creations include the Razor Crest and Moff Gideon’s light cruiser from The Mandalorian and iconic original trilogy ships, blending artistry and engineering to bring these legendary vehicles to life before cameras and in fans’ imaginations.
John’s career stretches back decades at ILM, where his model work also contributed to Attack of the Clones and other key Star Wars productions, helping define the look and feel of the galaxy far, far away through hands‑on craftsmanship.
