In 2027, it’s time for Star Wars: A Celebration!
The novelizations of the Star Wars original trilogy will be available as unabridged audiobooks. Narrated by Marc Thompson, the new editions will be released on February 2, 2027, wherever audiobooks are sold.
The SDCC panel hinted at even more exciting new titles that pay homage to the Star Wars franchise hitting the half century mark, including a new book from DK Publishing, Star Wars: A Celebration.

New original graphic novels will give Star Wars fans some new perspectives.
SDCC attendees got their first look at the cover of Mad Cave Studio’s Star Wars: A New Hope – Triple Take, planned for release in February 2027. The story is written by Kim Shearer and Chas! Pangburn.
Two additional middle grade graphic novels, Race for Jabba’s Bounty by Cavan Scott and Christian Colbert, and The Legend of Beggar’s Canyon by Greg Pak and illustrated by Brent Schoonover zoom on to bookstore shelves this fall.
The High Republic continues…
Attendees got a look inside Dark Horse Comic’s Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Pathfinders #4, written by George Mann with cover art by Jake Bartok. The series follows a team of Republic Pathfinders dispatched to a distant corner of the galaxy to investigate the death of a Jedi Master.

Quick glimpses of Dark Horse’s Star Wars: Galactic Tales of Terror Library Edition by Cavan Scott and various artists, and Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch – Rogue Agents #4 from Michael Moreci and Reese Hannigan were also shared.
From Marvel Comics, new covers from The Fall of Kylo Ren from Charles Soule and Will Sliney and variant covers of upcoming one-shots like Star Wars: Book of Boba Fett and Star Wars: Rogue One issues made their debut.
Hiding from the Dark and Eyes Like Stars bring new genres to the galaxy far, far away.
Middle grade horror novel Hiding from the Dark by Kiersten White and young adult romance novel Eyes Like Stars by Ashley Poston are the first forays into literary genres previously unexplored in Star Wars.
Star Wars Reads… with Ahmed Best!
Star Wars Reads, a month-long celebration of reading for all ages of Star Wars fans, continues this October. Stories have always been at the heart of Star Wars, and Lucasfilm Publishing is proud to continue that mission alongside First Book, whose work helps expand access to books and educational resources for children across the country.
This year, Ahmed Best joins the festivities as an ambassador, in addition to his many roles in the Star Wars galaxy!
This comic belongs in a museum!The publishing panel also revealed a surprise from beyond the Star Wars galaxy, the creative team of Jason Aaron and Aaron Kuder for a brand-new series from Marvel Comics, Indiana Jones and the Sword of Pandemonium! The five-issue limited series is set directly after Raiders of the Lost Ark and kicks off in December 2026.
Also coming soon from Marvel Comics, Indiana Jones: The Further Adventures Volume 1 and Volume 2 include film adaptations of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, plus the The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones series that expanded the character’s mythos.
