MCM Comic Con Birmingham is just around the corner, and author Adam Christopher will take part in the Licensing in Fiction panel, hosted by Mark Newbold, on Saturday, November 13th, between 2:45pm and 3:30pm. Here are the panel details: –
Exploring an already-established fictional world through books is something we’re all familiar with. But how does it actually work? Author Adam Christopher regularly works on licensed fiction in the worlds of Star Wars and Stranger Things and is here to talk about the relationship between creator and corporation. How do you expand a canon that already exists? How do you balance your own writing desires with the wants of the corporation you’re writing for? Should you write to the expectations of the fanbase or not?
And the tweet announcing the panel, by the author himself: –
My appearance details at @MCMComicCon Birmingham are live! Catch me on Saturday 13th November, 2.45pm, on the Live Stage, where I will talk about all things licenced and tie-in… including that little #StarWars thing everyone seems to be interested in… https://t.co/Er8wriDbQS
