We have woken to the sad news this morning that Pedge Wadley has passed away after a long battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Pedge was known throughout the Star Wars community for his amazing C-3PO costume.
Born in June 1966, Pedge was a member of the Droid Builders UK and UK Garrison. He was a hugely popular person and well respected among the whole Star Wars community. In recent times he had even wowed Anthony Daniels with his costume during his UK book signing tour. Daniels visited MCM Comic Con Birmingham in 2019 where he posed with Pedge dressed as Threepio. This resulted in some amazing pictures and that is when Pedge got the ‘golden seal of approval‘ for his costume.
Tributes to Pedge have been flooding in on Social Media and all the team here at Jedi News are deeply saddened by this news. We would like to extend our condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.
