Visitors to booth 1506 during the awesome four days of this months Star Wars Celebration Orlando had the chance to grab a quartet of amazing postcards designed by Matt Busch and Lin Zy which focused on the four leading women of the cinematic Star Wars experience – Padme, Jyn, Leia and Rey.
This coming weekend sees the Star Wars Fan Weekend, a 2 day event which brings a swathe of amazing guests to Burnley Football Club on Sunday 30th April and Monday 1st May. Team Jedi News will be there in force, covering the event for the site, social media and our podcasts network as well as heading up the Jedi News Theatre where podcasts, costume and guest talks will be taking place.
To celebrate the show we are giving away a special SWFFD variant. In honour of the late Carrie Fisher, we will have limited copies of the Leia postcard, with the SWFFD banner proudly displayed on the back. Steer your way to the Jedi News Theater during our three Jedi News Network shows to grab a card.
On Sunday 30th April from 12.30pm – 1.15pm Take Cover takes the stage and 2.30pm to 3.15pm brings the Star Wars Collectors Cast to the Jedi News Theatre. On Monday 1st May RADIO 1138 takes to the mic at 12.30pm to 1.15pm. Head over to the stage, grab those postcards and join in with the shows.
Don’t forget to celebrate the event and the anniversary of SWFFD by checking out the merchandise available, as modelled in the tweet below by the glamorous event organiser Neil Livesey.

We’re always excited for this event and never more so than in this, the 40th anniversary year. If you’re not already organised, get planning and we’ll see you in Burnley.
