ILM Visual Effects Supervisor Bill Georgiou got an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Special Visual Effects on Stranger Things 5, Skywalker Sound was nominated for Outstanding Sound Editing for Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, and Star Wars alumni received nominations including Harrison Ford – Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series for Shrinking, Keri Russell – Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series for The Diplomat, Riz Ahmed – Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie for Bait and Oscar Isaac – Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie for Beef.
The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Emmy Award winner Mariska Hargitay, will air on September 14th, 2026, at 8pm ET | 5pm PT from the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which include Outstanding Animated Program and Outstanding Special Visual Effects categories, will take place on September 5th and 6th, 2026.
