We have gotten a lot of news for the upcoming 5 weekends of Star Wars Weekends. This week we got some much anticipated and essential news, the celebrity guests. That is not the only thing we also got another Disney Dining experience. So I wanted to wrap up for all of you what we know about Star Wars Weekends for those of you that are planning on going or those that just want the details. I will be attending all 5 weekends as of right now and I will be experiencing all 3 dining experiences so expect coverage on everything. Let’s begin…
Number of Weekends:The number of weekends has been increased to 5 from the typical 4
Evening Entertainment:The Hyperspace Hoopla has been retired and will be replaced with a nightly Symphony in the Sky Star Wars themed fireworks each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night of each weekend.
Dining Experiences:There are 2 character dining experiences that are all new to Star Wars Weekends and to Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning May the 4th. The first is the Star Wars Dine In Galactic Breakfast. This breakfast will be held at the Sci Fi Dine In theater and it will include the following characters: Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Jawas, Greedo and Boba Fett. In addition the traditional film clips will be switched out for Star Wars clips and music.
The second character dining is Jedi Mickey’s Star Wars Dine at the Hollywood and Vine restaurant. This meal is a dinner rather than a breakfast and includes traditional Disney Characters in Star Wars outfits, Jedi Mickey, Princess Leia Minnie, Stormtrooper Donald, Darth Goofy, and Chip and Dale as Ewoks. Reservations have opened and gone very fast for both experiences.I will be doing the breakfast and the dinner so expect pictures and written coverage for both.
The next dining experience was just added. It is called the Feel the Force Dining Event and Dessert Party. This new experience is a pre pay event and it includes priority seating for the motorcade and fireworks. For the parade you get drinks and snacks and for the fireworks you get a dessert party. I have had a Disney dessert party and they are worth every single penny. I will be attending this as well but not until the very last weekend I wanted to end my 5 weeks with a bang.

- Weekend 2: Warwick Davis (Wicket), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), Tiya Sircar (Sabine Wren, Star Wars Rebels)
- Weekend 3: Ray Park (Darth Maul), John Ratzenberger (Major Bren Derlin), Taylor Gray (Ezra Bridger, Star Wars Rebels)
- Weekend 4: Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker will not sign autographs), Ray Park (Darth Maul), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), Taylor Gray (Ezra Bridger, Star Wars Rebels)
- Weekend 5: Dee Bradley Baker (Clones), Cat Taber (Padme Amidala), Tom Kane (Yoda), Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), Steve Blum (Zeb Orrelios, Star Wars Rebels)
James Arnold Taylor one man show, this is not confirmed but he has done it every time he has hosted so I am hoping that he will do it.
Warwick will perform his show An Ewok’s Tale – A Short Story.
Behind the Force Show hosted by Ashley Eckstein which will feature Star Wars Rebels.
Star Wars Motorcade Parade and Star Wars Fireworks by the Sorcerer Hat.
Ray Park’s Darth Maul Return to the Maul again this is a show that may not happen but it usually does when Ray is at Star Wars Weekends so we will see.
I would also assume James Arnold Taylor will host his talk show that he has done the last few weekends.
All in all I think that it is going to be a fabulous month of Star Wars Weekends and I can not wait! In addition to all the official Disney news there will also be a really awesome chance for podcast listeners to meet up with the Jimmy Mac host of Rebel Force Radio, the fangirls of Fangirls Going Rogue and Steve Glosson from Geek Out Loud. There will also be 2 other podcasts there in full force Star Wars Bookworms and The Star Wars Report. This will all take place during weekend 2 on the first day Friday May 23rd.
