The Bank Holiday weekend of the 27th May, 2023, saw the opening of The Jedi Archives new store in the Dorset County Town of Dorchester. Tucked just behind the Odeon Cinema in the beautiful Brewery Square this new store is dedicated to everything Star Wars. For the reopening R2-D2 appeared courtesy of Mike Berry and local Darth Vader Glynne posed with excited fans.
The spacious new store is perfect for purchasing, books, gifts, models, miniatures, gaming, sabers, helmets and of course figures. Stocking items from Hasbro, Lego, Jazwares and many more this is a Star Wars fans Yoda’s Hut. The Saturday I was there was full of keen customers buying all the latest and more unique items at reasonable prices from a team that were clearly Star Wars Fans who wanted to provide a great buying experience.
The owner, Ben has watched the business grow fantastically since 2016 when he started online before opening his original store in 2019. The new store is a furthering his dream of creating a haven for Star Wars fans including bookable gaming tables throughout the day, along with gaming nights on Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 9pm. Ben is hoping that over the coming months he will be able to host more events and possibly signings.
If as many people, you are holidaying in Dorset and fancy a Star Wars fix I would highly recommend this little haven.
