Happy Birthday Star Wars – it was 37 years ago today that Star Wars was released in the US and the rest of the story has become the stuff of legend, infusing popular culture like nothing before or since.
Who would’ve thought then that almost 40 years later Star Wars would still be the focus of such intense media scrutiny, the #2 boys toy (in 2013) and have such a wonderfully diverse cross generational fan base. Followed by two sequels and three prequels, we now have the prospect of an additional six Star Wars films before the end of the decade – the future looks brighter than Tatooine’s twin suns.
We are truly blessed to be a part of that community and to play in the Star Wars sandbox created by George Lucas. Happy Birthday Star Wars… may the Force be with you, always!
