Adria Arjona Set to Star in Erotic Thriller ‘Scorn’

Andor’s Adria Arjona is set to star alongside Kingsley Ben-Adir in the erotic thriller Scorn, where they find that love can be a dangerous game, set to start shooting in the UK at the end of January.

Sarah-Violet Bliss, known for co-creating the HBO Max show Search Party, wrote the script as a spec and will direct for Topic Studios.

“A woman begins a passionate affair with a married man. When he then tries to re-cast their love as just a fling, she refuses to go away quietly,” reads the logline.

The Batman producer Dylan Clark will produce via his Dylan Clark Productions, along with Brian Williams. Aftersun producer Amy Jackson will also produce for Unified.

Arjona has a breakout few years that included starring opposite Glen Powell in Richard Linklater’s Hitman and playing Bix Caleen in Andor, Lucasflim’s critical darling Star Wars series. She recently wrapped Michael B. Jordan’s The Thomas Crown Affair for Amazon MGM Studios, and starred in and executive produced Splitsville for Topic Studios and Neon.

Ben-Adir earned strong reviews for his work as Bob Marley in the 20254 biopic One Love, which was a sleeper hit that earned more than $180 million globally. He played the villain in Marvel and Disney+’s Secret Invasion series and had a role in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. He recently wrapped The Arrival, filmmaker Bijan Shebani’s adaptation of his play, and has the Petra Volpe-directed feature Frank & Louis headed to Sundance next week.
