Anthony Daniels has paid tribure to the French voice of See-Threepio, Roger Carel, who passed away aged 93 on September 11, 2020.
Sad. Roger Carel has died. A much-loved actor who enhanced so many shows with his talents. For me it was his voicing 3PO in the French versions that really counted. I had great joy to be with him on stage playing 3PO in French whilst he did it in English. We had such fun together pic.twitter.com/wipYi4rhUe

Roger Bancharel was born on August 14, 1927 in Paris, France. He had a long and illustrious acting career revoicing many much loved characters in French. That list includes, Winnie the Pooh, Yogi Bear, Mickey Mouse, Foghorn Leghorn, ALF and golden rod himself; See-Threepio.
