Young Ahsoka and Barbie star Ariana Greenblatt is set to join the ensemble cast of Now You See Me 3 with Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Solo: A Star Wars Story actor Woody Harrelson — all expected to return.
The original movies also starred Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo, although it’s not clear if those two will return.
Lionsgate had no comment on the casting, and it’s unclear who wrote the script. Seth Grahame-Smith, the genre scribe behind The Lego Batman Movie and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and Eric Warren have penned drafts over the years.
The film once again delves into the world of the illusionists and the bickering and sneaky quartet known as the Four Horsemen.
Greenblatt is one of Hollywood’s rising actresses who is a feature player in the franchise space. In addition to Barbie, the actress last year played young Ahsoka in the Star Wars series Ahsoka. She also played a young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War.
Greenblatt’s hiring reteams her with Lionsgate, as she is part of the all-star cast of the company’s upcoming video game adaptation Borderlands, which opens Aug. 9.
