Jedi News reader and contributor Marc Zachacki sent in a handful of questions for the team, asking some familiar questions but from a certain point of view. Next up it’s one of our comic reviewing wizards, Stephen Howard, also of Roqoo Depot.
Q: What were your thoughts when Darth Vader told Luke he was his father?
A: To be honest, I was around four years old when I watched Empire Strikes Back, so I never really thought much of it. I was far more engrossed by the giant AT-AT walkers and the funny talking frog guy.
Q: How did you feel with two years before Luke talked to Yoda and Ben about this in Jedi?
A: For me, there were no two years in between films as I grew up post ROTJ, so I had all three films available for immediate viewing.
Q: In Empire, Yoda says, “no, there is another”. Who did you think this other was?
A: Due to how young I was, I don’t think I ever pondered who the other was.
Q: In Empire, when Luke lands on Dagobah and he encounters Yoda without knowing it, did you know that was Yoda, or did you find out when Luke found out?
A: I found out with Luke, I think.
Q: What were your thoughts on Luke and Leia being twins. And looking back did that change them for you?
A: Knowing they were twins only changed the awkward romance competition between Luke and Han for Leia.
Q: The name Ewok was not said in Jedi. When was the first time you heard the name ‘Ewok’?
A: I’m pretty sure my parents told me they were Ewoks.
