Bill Burr, who played Migs Mayfeld in the first two season of The Mandalorian, has signed a first-look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios via his banner North Hill Productions.
Through the partnership, Burr and his producing partner, North Hill co-founder Mike Bertolina, will serve as executive producers and content originators for scripted and unscripted television. Fox will get first dibs on the projects.
Founded in 2024, North Hill’s first project is Burr’s 2025 Hulu comedy special “Drop Dead Years,” for which Burr was nominated for two Emmy Awards. The production company is also developing a half-hour comedy for Fox based on the life of comedian Earthquake.
The partnership marks a continued investment in comedy programming from Fox Entertainment.
“Bill Burr is one of the boldest, most original voices in comedy, and teaming up with him and Mike Bertolina at North Hill is exactly the kind of move that defines our studio,” stated Hannah Pillemer, head of scripted for Fox Entertainment Studios. “Fox has always been home for comedy that swings big, and at FES, we’re doubling down, championing creators with strong points of view who don’t play it safe.
